EA have released a brand new evolution and we are going to cover everything you need to know about it, including who are the most popular players to evolve as well as some players who are worth checking out and to finish it off a few bonus evolution combinations which combine multiple evolutions chained together.
Firstly, the cost of this evolution is 150K coins or 750 FC Points to complete and the evolution expires in 4 weeks’ time. It is important to consider this when selecting a player for this evolution.
The minimum amount of games needed to complete this evolution is: 3 Games
The requirements and the upgrades which your player will receive are as follows:
As you can see, there is a no position requirement for this evolution, however there are a few restrictions to be aware of, the card has to be a Rare Gold card and they cannot have a PlayStyle+.
The most notable thing about this evolution is that the player which you evolve will High defensive work rates and the Intercept PlayStyle+.
The most popular choices for Rare Defender Upgrade
Cancelo is one of the most popular choices, the main reason being his 86 gold card is already very useable, however the Low defensive work rates can cause an issue, therefore this evolution upgrades his defensive work rates to High meaning he is now High/High which is far more desireable.
Goretzka is another popular choice, Similar to Cancelo the boost to his defensive work rate changes the dynamic of the card a lot, he has an incredibly well rounded base card so the boosts he receives plus the work rate change make him a great choice.
Nkunku is also one of the most popular choices, this is an interesting one to me as his card is primarily design for an attacking player, however this evolution is targeted at more defensive players. I am not a fan of changing his work rates to Medium/High and giving him an Intercept PlayStyle+, so I can only assume he is a popular choice due to his name.
Here are a few other players that are worth checking out:
Sailba gets an honourable mention this is due to his 83 rated card already being incredible in game, and this evolution gives him a very well rounded defensive boost which will make him even better.
Alaba also gets an honourable mention, quite similar to Saliba that his gold rare card is already good so this evolution will simply add to that, also Alaba has good League/Club links.
And finally, here are a few evolution combinations which are worth checking out:
Renato Sanches’ 78 rated card can be taken to an 83 with two evolutions, he has High/High work rates, 4* skill moves and weak foot, with an extremely well rounded card and also will have the radioactive chemistry, so there are lots of great things about this evolution combo.
Joelinton’s 82 rated card can be taken to an 87 rated card with two evolutions, he is very similar to Renato Sanches, being High/High. Extremely well rounded and having the radioactive chemistry.
Kimpmebro’s Conclusion
There are some good choices here, I particularly like the potential evolution combos of Sanches and Joelinton, however the question is are any of the players listed here worth the 150K coins or 750 FC Points. Personally I won’t be doing it on my account as I think the price is too much, but if I was going to choose one to do it would be Sanches.
