Premier League Gameweek 10 Lineup Predictions and FPL Tips

It’s gameweek 10 of the Premier League season, which means the league table is shaping up. There are lots of exciting fixtures this weekend including Manchester United vs Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. Before the action gets underway, we’re going to give you our lineup predictions as well as hand out our best FPL tips for the coming weekend.

Before we jump into that though, let’s see how we got on last week:

How correct were last week’s predictions?

Arsenal: 10/11

Aston Villa: 10/11

Bournemouth: 7/11

Brentford: 9/11

Brighton: 8/11

Chelsea: 9/11

Crystal Palace: 9/11

Everton: 11/11

Fulham: 11/11

Ipswich: 6/11

Leicester: 9/11

Liverpool: 10/11

Manchester City: 9/11

Manchester United: 10/11

Newcastle: 9/11

Nottingham Forest: 11/11

Southampton: 10/11

Tottenham: 10/11

West Ham: 7/11

Wolves: 10/11

185/220 players guessed correctly. Not a bad week but we are still yet to beat our high score of 190.

Now, here’s our predicted lineups for the coming weekend’s matches:

Newcastle vs Arsenal (K.O 12:30 pm Saturday)

Newcastle’s Predicted Lineup:

Arsenal’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

Lewis Hall has been playing regularly for Newcastle and is priced very nicely at £4.3m. After this game, Newcastle have some nice fixtures coming up, so this would be a good transfer. Arsenal have some tough fixtures coming up, so now wouldn’t be the best time to bring in Arsenal players. However, if you were going to, it would be best to bring in some Arsenal defensive assets.

Bournemouth vs Manchester City (K.O 3 pm Saturday)

Bournemouth’s Predicted Lineup:

Manchester City’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

We would recommend that you don’t bring in Bournemouth players this week due to who their opponents are. For Manchester City though, Rico Lewis (£4.8m) is continuing to play due to Kyle Walker’s injury so this would be a good transfer to make.

Ipswich vs Leicester (K.O 3 pm Saturday)

Ipswich’s Predicted Lineup:

Leicester’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

Ipswich’s George Hirst (£5.4m) scored 11 points in his last fixture against Brentford, so we expect he will start again this week. Another striker who scored in their last game was Jamie Vardy (£5.7m). Both of these choices are cheap strikers who could score highly in this gameweek.

Liverpool vs Brighton (K.O 3 pm Saturday)

Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup:

Brighton’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

After playing 90 minutes midweek, Andy Robertson may not start against Brighton on the weekend. If this is the case, Kostas Tsimikas (£4.6m) would be a smart transfer to bring in. As for Brighton, we’d suggest wait for a few weeks before bringing any of their players in as they face Liverpool this week and then Manchester City next week.

Nottingham Forest vs West Ham (K.O 3 pm Saturday)

Nottingham Forest’s Predicted Lineup:

West Ham’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

We can’t ignore how brilliant Chris Wood has been so far this season. Even though on FPL, it says there’s a 75% chance he will play, at £6.4m he’s a bargain for the points returns he’s been providing. West Ham’s best asset is easily Jarrod Bowen (£7.4m) who has returned 45 points so far this season.

Southampton vs Everton (K.O 3 pm Saturday)

Southampton’s Predicted Lineup:

Everton’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

Southampton haven’t had the start to the season that they would have hoped for, but Aaron Ramsdale is still a good player for your FPL team in our opinion as he regularly gets points for high amounts of saves and is only £4.4m. Someone who has gone completely under the radar with their good performances on FPL is Ashley Young, who hasn’t scored under five points since gameweek four. He’s only £4.5m, which is an excellent price.

Wolves vs Crystal Palace (K.O 5:30 pm Saturday)

Wolves’ Predicted Lineup:

Crystal Palace’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

Rayan Ait-Nouri has scored 25 points in his last four gameweeks. At only £4.6m, this would be a great choice as a defender asset. A clean sheet in his last game makes Dean Henderson a tempting pick for £4.4m.

Tottenham vs Aston Villa (K.O 2 pm Sunday)

Tottenham’s Predicted Lineup:

Aston Villa’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

Tottenham lost their last game against Crystal Palace and they now face Aston Villa and Manchester City in two of their next three games. We’d suggest waiting for a bit before bringing in any Spurs players. Similarly with Villa, they have tough fixtures ahead, but Digne (£4.7m) has been putting in some strong performances lately, so he would be a good choice.

Manchester United vs Chelsea (K.O 4:30 pm Sunday)

Manchester United’s Predicted Lineup:

Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

With Ruud van Nistelrooy now in charge for the next few games, it’s not entirely clear as to how he will field his 11. Bruno Fernandes though is one of the first names on the team sheet and he’s now very cheap at £8.2m. Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson (£7.9m) continues to impress as he’s scored two goals in two games. He’s scored 57 points so far this season

Fulham vs Brentford (K.O 8 pm Monday)

Fulham’s Predicted Lineup:

Brentford’s Predicted Lineup:

FPL Tips

Fulham have a nice run of fixtures now which could tempt FPL players in to bringing in the likes of Emile Smith Rowe (£5.7m) and Alex Iwobi (£5.5m). Brentford also have winnable games coming up, so transferring in Yoane Wissa (£6.0m) or Bryan Mbeumo (£7.7m) might be a smart decision.
