Best way to complete the 93 Immortal Icon Beckenbauer

Brand new Icon Franz Beckenbauer has just been released into the game, and EA have wasted no time dropping an SBC. This is his ‘baby’ version, with the 96-rated Immortal Icon currently in packs. So the big question is, is he worth completing? Let’s break down the most efficient way to complete his SBC.

This article is powered by Score More With Xbox.

The Cost

This SBC is priced at a 269,100 coins and requires 8 squads to complete. At first glance it seems a very fair price.

Here’s the breakdown on the cards you’ll need to complete the various squads for this SBC:

  • 4x TOTW cards
  • 1x 89-rated cards
  • 11x 88-rated cards
  • 4x 87-rated cards
  • A mix of 82-rated to 86-rated cards.

All of these cards are very accessible, and there’s a good chance you’ve got plenty sitting in your dupe storage. That means the actual coin cost of this SBC should be fairly low.

Breaking Down the Squads

You will need to complete eight squads, here’s a quick look at what each individual squad requires:

Born Legend: You’ll need a full Bronze Rare squad

Rising Star: You’ll need a full Silver Rare squad

On a Loan: You’ll need an 83 rated squad.

Der Kaiser: You’ll need an 85 rated squad, with a TOTW and player from Germany.

The Bavarians: You’ll need an 86 rated squad, with a player from Bayern Munich.

League Finesse: You’ll need an 86 rated squad, with a TOTW and player from the Bundesliga.

Top-notch: You’ll need an 87 rated squad, with a TOTW.

88-Rated Squad: To finish, you’ll need an 88 rated squad, with a TOTW.

You’ve got around 2 months to complete this SBC, which is more than enough time. Realistically, you’ll probably get it done well before the deadline.

Is it worth it?

Now, let’s talk value. The 93-rated Immortal Beckenbauer SBC comes in at around 270k coins, which is a really fair price for what you’re getting.

The card itself looks very strong. His 3 PlayStyle+ and white PlayStyles pretty much cover everything you’d want from a CDM. He can also play at CB, but I wouldn’t recommend it due to his height. Another big plus is that he’s an Icon, so he comes with that valuable Icon chemistry boost.

There really aren’t many downsides, but a couple of things to note, he only has 3* skill moves, and his 84 Pace might feel a little low.

So, is he worth it? If you’re in the market for a CDM, he could easily be one of the best value options out there. He’s easy to grind, the card is quality, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in a lot of teams.
