Hello and welcome to La Liga Player of the Month Predictions for February. Month isn’t finished yet, but we should get nominees announced soon.
First of all, we should recognize player who came from struggling side and started tearing La Liga apart. He came, he saw, he conquered. Antony came and got 3 MOTMs in 3 games. He scored 2 goals and got 1 assist. 1 goal in 3-2 loss to Celta, 1 goal and 1 assist in 3-0 win over Real Sociedad and overall got MOTM in 2-2 draw vs Bilbao. Antony should get IF soon, so his POTM can be much better. 88 rated card with some really nice stats. He should be worth 120k at least just due to hype around him.
Next up, I have Ante Budimir. He scored 3 goals in 3 games for Osasuna. He scored 2 goals vs Real Sociedad and 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Real Madrid. Budimir continues to be really consistent in the league and already scored 13 goals this season. Budimir haven’t got any IFs, so his potential POTM would be 86 rated card and would worth discard price, as he’s just very mid, sadly, in FUT.
Next up my favorite for POTM – Oihan Sancet. He scored 5 goals in 3 games. Even tho Bilbao drew 2\3 games, he still should win an award: 3 goals vs Girona, 1 goal vs Espanyol and Real Betis. Somehow he didn’t get an IF for a game vs Girona, so he should get a nice upgrade for POTM to at least 87 rating. His base card isn’t that good, but with few playstyles and upgrades he should get better. Shouldn’t be worth more than 100k still tho.
Someone from Villarreal should get recognition, they went unbeaten all 3 games this month and I dunno who to nominate. I guess, I’ll go with Pape Gueye. He scored 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Valencia and got 1 goal in 5-1 win over Valladolid. Not the best, but should be enough in La Liga. Midfielder got transfered in winter from Marseille and started performing. Potential POTM should be 86 rated and should be worth 40k max.
One more player that should be nominated: Lewandowski from Barcelona. Despite some criticism – he managed to score 3 goals in 3 games, bringing Barcelona to 1st place. His goals were crucial in wins vs Rayo and Alaves and he scored 1 goal in 4-1 win over Sevilla. Good month, already had POTM, a lot of different cards. Now, if he’ll win POTM – he’d get 91 rated card with some decent stats. Previous POTM cost around 150k, this one I expect the same with an additional play-style.
Someone from Valencia will be nominated, as they risen from ruins and got 7 points from 3 games. Mosquera would be my choice, as he was very important for them, scored a goal, got CS and had a good game vs Villarreal. Not really popular choice, but his potential POTM would be decent option with 86 rating.
I still think it’ll be between Antony and Sancet, maybe due to popularity vote – Antony will win. But we’ll see who even will be nominated!
