Hello and welcome to Premier League Player of the month predictions for October. Another short month, I feel like, but despite that we should get a decent and deserved winner.
There is a chance that Palmer might win 2nd time in a row, as he managed to score in 2 out of 3 games. He was silent in a game vs Liverpool, but apart from that he got an assist in 1-1 draw vs Nottingham Forest, got a goal and assist vs Newcastle and overall was really good. Him winning POTM would be really close to his Trailblazers card and would cost much less. His POTM was around 60k, while his TB card around 650k. Madness. I expect his POTM to be 88 rated card and be worth around 120k or so. Doubt that he’d be much more.
Speaking about Nottingham Forest. They managed a nearly perfect month with 2 wins and 1 draw and they sit at 6th position in Prem. Surprise of the season for sure, at the moment. Chris Wood is their main star. This month he managed to get 4 goals. He got 2 goals in 3-1 win vs Leicester, 1 goal in 1-0 win over Palace and 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Chelsea. Would be very deserved POTM and he should get it. He should get an IF this week, he should get 84 rated card and it should be really cheap card. Hopefully, he’ll get a big pace upgrade to be actually usable card.
Bukayo Saka continues his great season and this month he managed to get 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 games. He scored a goal against Liverpool in 2-2 draw, he also got 2 assists and 1 goal in 3-1 win over Southampton. Great month for Saka, his potential POTM might be really good too. 88 or 89 rated card with some decent stats. His IF worth not that much (only around 60k) and his POTM shouldn’t be over 120k too. I doubt many people use Saka due to his pace, but you should at least try him out imo.
Mohammed Salah is another candidate for POTM. Another strong month with 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 games. He scored in 2-2 draw vs Liverpool, he scored and assisted vs Chelsea and was quiet vs Palace. If he’d score vs Palace, then he’d be a bigger favorite. Salah just got his Rush card and it’s worth a lot of money. His NIF is only around 160-170k, so I hope his potential POTM would be around 500-600k at max. I do think that he has a chance, but not that much. Compared to Saka\Wood – it’s hard to compete. Still, would be the best POTM out of all of them.
Jordan Pickford is my last choice. Everton managed to climb this month from relegation zone and they sit 5 points above 18th spot. Pickford managed to get 2 CS in 3 games and conceded only once vs Fulham in 1-1 draw. Pickford would be fun POTM, we haven’t had GK POTM in PL since De Gea, but I doubt that it’ll change this month. Pickford would be 86 card with some decent stats, honestly never tried him in game, but I do think GKs in this game is random for everyone.
Overall, I think it’ll be Wood or Saka. I think Wood would be very good and deserved choice, as Forest continues their rise to top. Let’s see who wins it, but yeah. Wood or Saka.
