We’re starting one of the most exciting periods in FUT, sun comes out and stays longer every day, every football fan expecting nice run-in till the end of the season for their team and Ultimate Team brings us TOTS Cards.
This article will be about La Liga. We should be getting one very good Team of the season, due to top teams performing well in title race. Title is far from decided and we should be heading into very tense title race. Sadly, Atletico crumbled a bit in the last month and I doubt they’ll challenge Real and Barca. Still, decent season from Atletico, far above the rest of the clubs and just not good enough for top position. Maybe next year.
Overall, I think La Liga is healing, top 6 looking good, we have Bilbao smashing this season, Villarreal being near top 4 and Betis alongside. These are main teams that should be getting cards, especially when we have very strict amount of options.
We’re starting with Goalkeeper and main option is Joan Garcia from Espanyol. Arsenal’s (or Arteta) target for next season, he had a strong season and because of him Espanyol not getting relegated. Leading in stats for saves per game and goals prevented he should be getting TOTS, as Courtois wasn’t as good + injured, MATS injured too, Oblak is potential candidate. If they’d go with boring pick – then it’s Oblak who should be getting TOTS, but I went with “hipster” choice with stats with Garcia.
Defense is tough too. There are clear picks, like Rudiger from Madrid, Le Normand from Atletico, Kounde and Inigo from Barca. I couldn’t find proper LB, as Balde IMO wasn’t as good and consistent. Mendy was bad. Atletico’s option with Reinildo not as solid, so I went with more CBs like Yerai from Athletic Bilbao, who had a very very good year. Overall, I think I’m missing someone very obvious, but not sure who. Real Madrid got screwed by injuries for Carvajal and Militao, Atletico conceded a bit more than I expected them to.
Midfielders were really fun to pick. Jude and Pedri leading the line for me. One is proper contributions machine, while Pedri controls games like no one else. Next up I have Fede Valverde who played everywhere for Real Madrid, even RB. I’m wondering which position will have his card. Isco carrying Betis to Europe. He’s continuing Fekir’s story and he’s so fun to watch. A lot of contributions and overall some great months by him. Alejandro Baena from Villarreal their best player with 7 goals and 8 assists and probably next big star in Spain. He’s only 23 and I think a lot of clubs would want him in the summer.
Somewhere between attack and midfield should be Oihan Sancet from Bilbao. He scored 13 goals and got 1 assist so far (yes, he’s injured now). Before March he was in sensational form. I think either him or Inaki will be from Bilbao in TOTS.
And last but not least: we should discuss strikers. Raphinha, Lewa, Mbappe and Yamal pick themselves. Budimir is there too with 17 goals this season for Osasuna. Next up I have a choice. I still included Vinicius, even tho I think his season isn’t the best. I think he’ll clutch the last few months and his stats will look much better. Last choice was between Griezmann and Sorloth. I think, in reality, no one from them would be in TOTS. I think Griez deserves a card, Sorloth too. Spots are slim and others looking much better IMO. I went with Griezmann, but let’s see how it goes.
Overall, I think La Liga TOTS will be very good for your squads, especially in attack. We should see some mad cards for every attacker in starting 11. As per usual, I’m open to discussions, if you have any opinion!
