Match Week 3 of the FC Pro Open is a wrap, and Group C lived up to all the hype. Dubbed the ‘Group of Death,’ it’s easy to see why, stacked with top-tier players, every game was pure entertainment from start to finish

We’re breaking down all the tactics used by the pro players, giving you a quick explanation for each one. And don’t worry, the part you’ve been waiting for, the tactics code, is included!

Before we get into the tactics, let’s quickly recap the match results and standings from Match Week 3. Below are the results from all five rounds, and just like in previous weeks, most games were incredibly tight. Many were decided by a single goal, with very few seeing more than a one-goal margin. It was a fiercely contested group, but Obrun stole the show, finishing the night undefeated and proving why people are calling him the best in the world right now.

Here’s how Group C looks after Match Week 3. Obrun leads the pack with 11 points and remains undefeated, while the players in 2nd to 4th are all tied on 7 points. The competition is tight, with even 6th place only 3 points behind 2nd. With everything still to play for, the next match week is shaping up to be a thrilling showdown. No one is out of it yet!

Now, the bit you have all been waiting for, let’s get into the Tactics.

Obrun: 4-2-3-1

Obrun is one of the few pro players still using this formation. It was a fan favorite in past titles, but you don’t see it as much these days.

What sets his approach apart is the use of the Centre-Half Role on one of his CDMs, allowing him to defend in a 5-back setup. A lot of his play flows through Savanier, who has the Long Ball PlayStyle+. Obrun frequently relies on first-time through balls to Drogba, making him a constant threat in attack.

Emre Yilmaz: 4-4-2

Emre keeps it simple with a classic 4-4-2 setup. There’s nothing particularly unique about his tactics, he relies purely on his exceptional ability, which is seriously impressive.

In midfield, he opts for Valverde and Gerrard, both equipped with the PowerShot PlayStyle+. This allows him to capitalise on first-time Power Shots.

Yuval: 4-4-2

Yuval also went with a 4-4-2 formation, and his setup is nearly identical to Emre’s. The main difference is that Yuval uses Inside Forwards instead of traditional wingers. Interestingly, 5 out of his 6 midfield and attacking players are the same as Emre’s, showing just how effective this core lineup can be.

Umut: 4-4-1-1

Umut stands out as the only player in this group using the 4-4-1-1 formation. The key features of his setup are the Attacking Wingback Role at left back, which provides overlapping runs, and using one of his CMs as a dedicated Playmaker.

Bruno Fernandes’ 87-rated card is a perfect fit for the CAM role, as his Long Ball PlayStyle+ lets him execute first-time lofted through balls with pinpoint accuracy.

Gui Barros: 4-2-1-3

Gui Barros came into this week rocking the increasingly popular 4-2-1-3 formation, making him the only player to use it in this group. This setup is solid defensively and absolutely lethal on the counterattack.

Savanier earns his spot in the squad thanks to his Long Ball PlayStyle+, which, as you’ve probably noticed, is a go-to choice and highly meta this year.

Tekkz: 4-4-2

Tekkz is the third player in this group to run with the 4-4-2, proving just how popular this formation is right now. What sets his setup apart is the lack of a defensive CM, he opts instead for a Box-to-Box and a Playmaker Role, making his approach noticeably more attack-minded.

Another standout feature is his unique draft strategy. All four of his attacking players come equipped with the Finesse Shot PlayStyle+, leaving no doubt about his game plan to capitalise on finesse shots.
