New Features and Changes Coming to FC 25 Pro Clubs

Clubs has always been a fan favourite game mode in FC, and in FC 25, EA Sports are making some of the biggest changes that we’ve ever seen! From new ways to play such as “Clubs Rush,” to unique new customisation options through “The Clubhouse,” there is lots of new features to dive into for Clubs in FC 25.

Clubs Rush

We’ve already heard that Rush is heading to Ultimate Team, but now we know that the Rush game mode is arriving in Club too! Rush is a 5v5 game mode with an AI goalkeeper on a smaller playing field in which you can queue up solo or head into a game with friends. In Clubs, every win in the Rush game mode earns a “Victory Point” for your clubs which boosts your rush rank. An increase in your rank will lead to higher rewards.

Searching for a game on your own will pair you up with other players, however, there needs to be a minimum of two people to be paired up for the game to start. If a squad of two or three can’t be filled, don’t worry as the remaining spots will be filled by AI teammates. This also means that if your teammates leave or disconnect during a match, a CPU AI will control their pro for the remainder of the game.

Within the Rush mode, you will have your “Rush Player Rank”. This changes based on your performances during matches. Winning games can boost your Rank Points (RP), and losing could result in a loss of them. Some of the factors that will affect your Rank Points include the match outcome and the difference in RP between your team and your opponents. Getting to the higher ranks will unlock rewards with every season giving out rewards based on the highest rank achieved. After every season, your RP is partially reset.

As mentioned previously, for every match won in Rush, Victory Points (VP) will be awarded to your club. This will contribute towards your club’s place on the global Rush leaderboard. The higher your club finishes on this leaderboard, the more significant rewards will be allocated to your club at the end of each season.

Changes to the Leagues systems

In FC 24, there was a huge change to the league system in clubs as relegation was scrapped. However, for FC 25, the ability to be relegated has been reintroduced! Relegation matches can now occur which will determine whether your club will be dropping down or staying up.

Relegation matches are a one-off match where your club’s place in that division is on the line. The matchmaking process for this game looks to face your club up against another club of similar skill in their pivotal match. Victory in this game secures your place in that division for another term and resets your remaining chances in progress. A draw secures you stay up, however, your remaining games only partially reset meaning that relegation is still a threat. Clubs in the Elite Division will not face Relegation at the launch of FC 25 however.

FC IQ/ Tactics

FC IQ is the new tactical focus that is coming across multiple modes in FC 25, and Clubs is confirmed to be one of these. FC IQ allows for Club Managers to set up up to five different tactical options. AI Squadmates are already furnished with Role+ familiarity for every role. So for example, if the managers set up their full-backs to play as “Falsebacks,” they can with ease.

The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse will be home to your club’s customisation and social interaction. The Clubhouse can be personalised with the aim of making us feel closer to the action. Entering Clubs should new feel entering the changing room with the new social space. This allows you to see your clubmates even if they are adjusting their player build or just sitting in the lobby. In the Clubhouse, you will be able to see your customised club crest, kit and stadium bundle.

A big new change will be the navigation of the Clubs menus. The menus have been redesigned with the intent of allowing you to get from one place to the next as quickly as possible. As previously seen on Ultimate Team in FC 24, the quick switcher menu option will now be available in Clubs which for example will shortcut your journey from customising your pro to jumping in the match lobby.

Club Facilities

Clubs Facilities is yet another new feature coming to FC 25. Growing your club will allow you to unlock higher facility budgets. This budget can be put towards a multitude of things such as hiring a coach or unlocking new PlayStyles.

Facilities allow your club to expand in new ways by creating resources which will be available to all teammates. These facilities will have a direct impact on how your team plays on the pitch. Facilities can be upgraded from a 1-star rating all the way up to a 3-star rating. 1-star Facilities enhance two attributes for all clubmates. For example, if the club manager was to activate the Weight Room, this would boost Strength and Jumping. 3-star Facilities provide an even bigger impact though as these can allow for even greater increases in attributes and the addition of PlayStyles and PlayStyles+ for the whole team. These can unlock the potential of seven PlayStyles and three PlayStyles+ for your pro. For example, if a 3-star Sports Scientist was unlocked, this would boost the team’s Acceleration and Aggression as well as unlocking the Quick Step PlayStyle. Any boosts that Facilities give only apply to player-controlled pros and not the AI-controlled players.

To enhance your club with Facilities, you will need to build up your club budget. Your club’s budget grows by playing League and Playoff matches which will gain fans. The more successful your club is, the freedom to improve your team will greater. The club’s managers will have control over where the Facility budget is spent. Once activated, the chosen facilities will remain activated until they are deactivated by the manager. Budget will never be lost and your club’s budget can be freed up by deactivating facilities.

Customisation of Characters

The ability to customise your pro just got more detailed because creating your pro in FC 25 is even more unique! EA Sports Cranium technology has been introduced to customise your pro character’s face and head. With this tool, you can change individual aspects of your pro’s head. This will allow for customisation which wasn’t possible in FC 24.

There are also new cosmetics arriving to allow for further customisation of your pro. These include the likes of new hairstyles, tattoos, gloves and many more. One new addition to cosmetics is arm sleeves which are debuting in Clubs in FC 25. All of the new cosmetics can be accessed through the all-new Clubs Store.

In addition to the new player cosmetics, stadium bundles, club kits, tifos and trophies are being released which will enable you to make your home stadium your own.

Extra Information

  • Something else that is new and arriving to Clubs in FC 25 is the “Quick Chat” feature. Using the D-Pad, players can send messages to their teammates. As seen in the image below, messages like “Thanks”, “Nice”, “Unlucky” and “Sorry” are some examples of messages that can be sent through Quick Chat. In Clubs, the captain will be able to access the Quick Chat messages. The ever-present “Call-for-a-pass” icon has been changed to display messages which should alert your teammates more efficiently.
  • The time spent in the post-match menu has been increased which allows you more time to rewatch some highlights, look at some match stats or even tactically prepare for your next fixture.
  • The Matchmaking system has been updated and should ensure that you face teams closer to your skill rating. Club Playoffs will still continue to prioritise matchmaking you against teams in your division.
  • Finally, the max height that you are able to create your pro is now 6’5”. This should allow more creative ways to attack and less focus on crossing in to the box!
