EA Sports have announced that a new Low Driven Shot PlayStyle and PlayStyle+ are set to arrive in EAFC 25 during Title Update 10, known as “Legends Return Update”. In their latest Pitch Notes, EA revealed what is set to arrive in the game in the coming days, with a whole bunch of changes arriving soon. Alongside the new PlayStyle+, there’s a returning ICON, new cards and much more heading to FC 25. Here is everything you need to know:
New Low Driven Shot PlayStyle+
EA have announced the planned release of a new PlayStyle and PlayStyle+ which will be “Low Driven Shot”. This will be available in Ultimate Team, Career Mode and Clubs. Under the Pitch Notes, EA has stated that the new PlayStyle provides the following:
- Significantly increased shot accuracy.
- Moderately increased ball travel speed.
- Moderately increased how quickly players can perform the requested shot.
The PlayStyle+ variant of the Low Driven Shot will also have these effects, but they are more efficient. This will be released during the Legends Return Update.
New ICONs and Cards in Ultimate Team
After last week’s news that the addition of Seydou Doumbia, Victor Ibarbo and Gervinho were making a return to the game, we’ve finally been given an update as to when they will be entering Ultimate Team. On March 14th, all three players will receive “Streets Won’t Forgot,” versions which can be obtained via Objectives and Evolutions. As well as this, FUT Birthday Hero versions of these cards will be entered into packs. The base cards will not be available during FC 25. To top it off though, there’s a return of an old legend from previous games as Franz Beckenbauer will become an ICON in FC 25. On March 21st, the legendary German defender’s base ICON card will be added into packs as part of the upcoming UEFA Dreamchasers Campaign. His first promo card however will arrive on April 4thas part of FUT Immortals.
Super Subs in FC 25
Something that we’ve never seen before is set to be added with the addition of Super Sub Player Items. These players will have full chemistry when entering matches anytime during or after the second half of games. The Super Sub’s Role+ will be increased to Role++ if they are placed in their primary or alternate positions.
There’s no confirmed date for these additions but we’re told this will be in the near future.
Gameplay changes to FC 25
It’s been made clear in the Pitch Notes that these changes won’t have a major effect on how the game is changed. The adjustments that have been made are minor tweaks that are based on community feedback.
- Moderately reduced accuracy of fully powered Precision Lob Passes.
- Significantly increased the accuracy of clearance headers.
- In some specific situations, AI defenders did not press the ball carrier as intended.
This was something that occurred during occasional offside scenarios where the defender was more focused on the offside line rather than the ball carrier.
- Sometimes, incorrect goalkeeper save animations could have occurred when the keeper was trying to save tight angle near post shots.
The changes made here should make saves look cleaner and more authentic.
The Return of CLASSIC XI
Finally, an old favourite is returning with the Classic XI returning to Kick Off and Online Friendlies. The Classic XI team contains players such as Pele, Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff and many more icons from the footballing world. The highly loved squad was a feature in previous games but makes its return in FC 25
